Reports claimed that at least 500 people, dressed in civil dress, have been deployed and many claimed to be from the Rapid Action Force (RAF) have been spread across Ramlila Maidan.
Close aide of Anna, Akhil Gogoi also reportedly feared that Anna Hazare, whose indefinite fast entered ninth day on Wednesday for Jan Lokpal Bill, might be forcibly taken to hospital.
Meanwhile, reports emerged that Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh contacted with doctors who have been appointed to take care of Anna's health. Nation-wide concern has been roused over 74-year-old Anna's deteriorating health.
Despite his poor health conditions, Anna vowed to continue his fast until unless the government agrees to pass the Jan Lokpal Bill.
Citing government's latest move to deploy police and RAF around Ramlila, it seems that Wednesday night could be a ghastly night for Team Anna as Delhi police may repeat Ramdev-like action on Anna.
Here it can be recalled that Baba Ramdev, who had earlier held another indefinite fast protest at the same place urging government to bring black money stashed in foreign countries.
However, he (Ramdev) was forcibly moved out from the venue following midnight crackdown of Delhi police. The yoga was forcibly sent to Haridwar and was barred to enter the national capital.
Meanwhile, Ramdev also claimed that he will replace Anna's dais if Anna will be forced to break his fast for a corruption-free country.
