Govt ready to table Janlokpal Bill in Parliament: PM

New Delhi, Aug 23: On the eighth day of Anna Hazare's fast, government finally bend to demands raised by Team Anna. In a letter to Anna Hazare, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appealed him to end his indefinite fast saying that government is ready to table the Janlokpal Biill before Parliament Panel.

Manmohan Singh said that both government's version of Lokpal Bill and Team Anna's Janlokpal Bill will be submitted before Parliament Panel and government is ready to accept the Janlokpal Bill if speaker permits it. PM assured personal guarantee to resolve all issues.

Earlier, Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid met Anna supporter and social activist Arvind Kejriwal to end the deadlock between Team Anna and government. In the meeting, Khurshid conveyed government's decision to make Union Finance Minister and UPA trouble shooter Pranab Mukherjee as the mediator.

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan will meet Pranab Mukherjee at 6.30 PM to formulate a proposal that can be accepted by both teams.
