Apple to launch iPad 3 by early 2012: Report

Citing "people familiar with the situation", The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple is working with component suppliers and its assembler in Asia for the trial production of iPad 3 from Oct 2011 and aiming to launch in the market by early 2012.
The report added that Apple has ordered for key components such as display panels and chips for new iPad. The new iPad 3 is expected to boast 2048 x 1536 high resolution display and a 9.7-inch display screen.
The rumours on the launch of iPad 3 arrived amid the legal fight between Apple and its rivals like Samsung, Motorola, HTC and Google. Recently, Apple manged to get a German court order to ban the sale of Samsung Galaxy products in European Union.
Apple accused Samsung Galaxy line of mobile phones and tablets of "slavishly" copying the iPhone and iPad.
