Lord Krishna joins Team Anna, India Against Corruption !

New Delhi, Aug 22: India witnessed mass support for Team Anna in their struggle for a strong Jan Lokpal Bill which will mark the success of the movement - India Against Corruption (IAC). Lakhs of supporters in several cities of the country came out on roads. A long weekend along with Janmashtami (Lord Krishna's birthday), however, helped Team Anna to accumulate support for their cause.

Continuing the weekend on Monday, Aug 22, India celebrates Janmashtami with Krishna bhajan (religious songs), rallies and with other rituals. On the same day, Anna Hazare's fast entered seventh day. It seems that Lord Krishna also joined Team Anna.

50,000 people thronged in at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday to get a glimpse of the 74-year-old Gandhian crusader and to voice for Anna. In other cities such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Guwahati, Lucknow, many others held different rallies which saw mass gathering of people.

Internet, along with Facebook, Twitter also experienced Anna fever after several sites started giving live updates on the India Against Corruption movement.

Support for Anna also emerged from abroad as several NRIs marched in US, London and several other countries for the battle started by Anna to eliminate corruption from the country.
