Is Team Anna moving for back-door agreement with govt?

New Delhi, Aug 21: It seems that Team Anna and the government have moved for a back-door agreement on the Lokpal and Jan Lokpal Bill after the reports that Maharashtra Additional Chief Secretary Umesh Chandra Sarangi visited Anna Hazare whose fast completed sixth day on Sunday, Aug 21.

However, Team Anna refused to accept any reports on the "agreement" between the government and the protesting team in the expense of strong Jan Lokpal Bill.

Sources said that former Karnataka Lokayukta Santosh Hegde also attended the meeting between 74-year-old Anna and Sarangi. Hegde, one of the members of Team Anna, had earlier proposed that the Team could think of giving up their demands on Prime Minister and higher judiciary provided other key demands are met.

Close aide of Anna, Swami Agnivesh stated, ""We are open for talks. In order to open a door for dialogue, the government has to create an atmosphere. They have to create an atmosphere of trust by withdrawing the government bill from Parliament and introduce Jan Lokpal Bill.We will not budge from our stand. This is the least they should do to earn our trust."
