Cong MP submits Janlokpal; Govt to accept Anna's demands?

New Delhi, Aug 21: While Anna Hazare's fast for enacting the Janlokpal Bill in the current Parliament session continues, Congress MP submitted the Team Anna's Jan Lokpal Bill for consideration before Parliament's Standing Committee.

Congress MP from Bareilly Praveen Singh Aron submitted Anna's version of Lokpal Bill before the Parliament's Standing Committee which is examining the government's version of the legislation. The committee will take a decision on whether or not to take up the Bill during deliberations over the Lokpal issue at its meeting scheduled later.

Sources said that the submission of Janlokpal by Congress MP hints that the government was working to accommodate some of the recommendations of Team Anna over the Lokpal issue.

BJP MP Varun Gandhi has already given a notice in the Lok Sabha for tabling the Jan Lokpal Bill as a private members' bill.
