Padmanabha: Royal Family warns again, catastrophe in store?

Thiruvanthapuram, Aug 19: Warning the SC panel against opening the B-vault, the royal family of Travancore has now filed a petition with the Supreme Court, said reports.

According to reports, the family had opened the B vault years ago and even had photographic evidence on the same hence warning against it being opened again.

Meanwhile, according to earlier reports, the royal family was to coax the deity in order to evade dire consequences according to a devaprasnam - an astrological ritual. The ritual disclosed that the members of the family would have to face dire consequences or misfortunes if either of the vaults were opened.

Earlier reports also claimed that the royals would conduct key rituals and conduct murajapam, a ritual where priest chant vedas for 56 days. Other rituals are Mrityunjaya Homam, Maha Sudarshana homam and Chakrabja Pooja. The seers predicted that non observing some rituals would bring bad luck to the temple.
