TN Land Grab: DMK men seek divine blessings to escape?

Chennai, Aug 19: After several DMK men have been nailed down in the land grab charges, many leaders are now in a bid to escape from the clutches of the AIADMK government.

According to reports, MRK Panneerselvam, ex-health minister and KN Nehru, ex-transport minister, eminent leaders of DMK visited Sri Sankaranarayana Swamy in Sankarankovil in Tirunelveli.

The former ministers, dressed in traditional wear offered special prayers and abishegam to Sarpa Vinayaga on Sankadahara Chathurthi a day according to the Hindu mythology considered to be auspicious.

The news came as a shocker as DMK Supremo, M Karunanidhi himself is an atheist and at various times have bawled out at his ministers for openly exhibiting their devotion to God.

Meanwhile, ex-minister, Veerapandi S Arumugam is among the legion of DMK leaders who are lodged in cells across the state.
