Anna Hazare effect: Khadi business swells

Lucknow, Aug 19: Anna's fight against corruption is not only doing good to the country but businessmen too seem to be benefiting from his fight against corruption.

Since the time the anti corruption crusader hogged limelight, the city's business sector only seems to fly high, said a Times of India report.

"In the three days since Anna's movement against corruption started, we have supplied over 20,000 flags and over 5,000 Gandhi caps, Hazare posters, masks and badges supporting the movement against corruption. The scale of business is easily a 100 times more than what we usually see during the Independence Day," said Rajesh Agarwal, a wholesale trader in Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, not only this, but the sale of national flags has also gone up a flag costing as high as Rs 500. (Read more: Anna Hazare impact: National flags now selling at Rs 500).
