Ramdev stretches into Anna Hazare's struggle for Jan Lokpal

New Delhi, Aug 17: Baba Ramdev is expected to meet president Pratibha Patil on Wednesday, Aug 17 over the government-Anna Hazare fuss. The yoga guru is also expected to meet the Gandhian crusader in Tihar jail later on the day.

According to sources, Ramdev, who has been showing his support to Anna since the crusader started his struggle, will submit a memorandum to the president against the arrest of Anna.

Anna Hazare was arrested on Tuesday and was lodged in Tihar jail in the national capital. However, the Gandhian later refused to accept the release order which was brought out later on the day.

Anna's supporters gathered outside the Tihar jail and have been showering their support for Anna and his struggle for India Against Corruption.

However, many stated that Ramdev's inclusion in Anna's struggle may tarnish the image of the battle for Jan Lokpal. Here it can be recalled that the yoga guru was forcefully removed from Delhi while staging fast-unto-death protest on Jun 4 over the Black Money issue.

Ramdev's image has been tarnished after he along with his close aides have been accused of having illegal property.
