Shocking:Team Anna's phones tapped before Hazare's detention

New Delhi, Aug 16: The government which has already been confronted with stern criticism over Anna's arrest may land in a soup of unending controversy as latest information revealed that all phones of the members of Team Anna were being tapped.

Delhi police (read with the instruction from the government) tapped all phones for four hours before the cops moved to detain the Gandhian crusader on Tuesday.

Anna along with RTI activist, Arvind Kejriwal were initially detained from his Delhi residence and later arrested. Other supporters of Anna - Kiran Bedi, Manish Sisodia, Shanti Bhushan were also detained on the same day.

Lawyer and eminent members of team Anna, Prashant Bhushan, meanwhile, moved the Supreme Court over the "undemocratic and illegal arrest" of Anna.

Anna and his four supporters, who have been taken under preventive custody, will be produced before a special judge for the court proceedings.
