'Instructed' cops detain team Anna, emergency imposed again?

New Delhi, Aug 16: Indians began their day with a drama over Anna Hazare's detention on Tuesday, Aug 16. Anna along with his eminent team members - Arvind kejriwal, Kiran Bedi and Manish Sisodia also have been taken under preventive custody. Citing the situation, team Anna claimed that the government once again is trying to impose emergency in the country.

Kiran Bedi, who was released soon after her detention from Raj Ghat, asserted, "This is exactly what happened during emergency." Bedi also claimed, "When our freedom is restricted, it is as good as being arrested."

The close aides of Anna surprised many when they stated Delhi police's statement over Anna's detention. Showing her rage over the government and on the cops, Kiran Bedia informed, "When Anna asked what are the charges against us, police said that they have been instructed to do so."

Meanwhile, lawyer and another team Anna member, Prashant Bhushan chided that government wants to bring a "corruption bill" and not a "Lokpal Bill". Continuing his statement, Mr Bhushan also informed that Anna will continue his fast if he is forcefully moved to Maharashtra.

"It is indented to harass whistleblowers, it provides protection to public servants," stated Bhushan who is expected to move the court after a gathering at Raj Ghat at 9 am on Tuesday.
