Uproar over Anna's arrest, Parliament adjourned
The parliament was adjourned after there was ruckus from opposition parties in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha .
The opposition MPs demanded fair judgement and shouted slogans against the government after Anna and his supporters were arrested fighting for the Jan Lokpal.
The opposition demanded that the question hour be adjourned so that a debate could take place. Sushma Swaraj, BJP leader had also given a notice to suspend the question hour to discuss the arrest of the Gandhian crusader.
Anna was detained on Aug 16 (today) morning at his residence before he proceeded to the venue - JP Park where he and his followers were to hold hisfast. He was later arrested by the Delhi Police and taken to an undisclosed location on the grounds that he would create public nuisance.
Anna was arrested on prohibitory orders (Section 144). According to reports, Anna's supporters have also been detained.
