Pakistan foils massive terror plot on Independence Day

Terrorism and Pakistan
Islamabad, Aug 15: A massive terror attack was planned to tarnish the independence day celebration in Pakistan on Sunday, Aug 14 but officials of the country poured water on such plans.

With the arrest of Bakht Farzand alias Mullah Radio, who is a commander of the banned militant outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban, police officials informed that they successfully spoiled the terror attack.

Pakistani security officials confirmed the media news after informing that Bakht Farzand was arrested from Islamabad on Saturday, Aug 13 just a day ahead of its independence day.

The detained militant has been evading the police and security personnel since his name had been included in the most wanted list of the terrorists over connection with several crimes and terror attacks.
