RJD finds ''Aarakshan'' objectionable

"Some of the dialogues and demonstrations in the film has revived the old bitterness and social conflicts that occurred at the time of implementation of the Mandal Commission. The party strongly opposes such bitter dialogues," the party said.
An RJD team led by its president Ramchandra Purve attended a public screening of the Prakash Jha directed movie at a theatre and felt that some of its dialogues were "objectionable".
"Reservation is a constitutional provision and not a gift," a party statement said adding that they need to have an intensive review before a decision is taken.
Other members of the team, who also watched the Amitabh Bachchan starrer, included RJD youth leader Alok Mehta, former state minister Suresh Paswan and MLA Samrat Choudhary.
