Anna Hazare
New Delhi, Aug 13: The Delhi police on Saturday, Aug 13 handed over the letter to Anna Hazare and his team carrying the permission to hold fast protest. Team Anna, however, expressed their rage as the government has allowed only three days to stage the hunger strike.

RTI activist and one of the eminent members of team Anna, Arvind Kejriwal had earlier informed that they (team Anna) demanded permission for 30 days but the Delhi police (read the government) granted only three days which is a "too short period" to stage a fast-unto-death agitation.

Initially, team Anna faced hurdles over fixing the venue as all their choices such as - Jantar Mantar, Ramlila Maidan and several other venues were overruled. Finally, the Gandhian crusader received permission to resume his protest from Jay Prakash Narain Park.

Anna Hazare will commence his fast from Tuesday, Aug 16 as he had vowed earlier. Government has tabled its own version of Lokpal Bill in the Parliament which caused Anna to go ahead with his plan of holding the fast.
