Cong workers offer prayers for speedy recovery of Sonia

Puducherry, Aug 13: Congress workers led by Puducherry PCC President A V Subramanian today (Aug 13) offered prayers at the 174-year old Guru Sithananda Swamigal temple near here for the speedy recovery of AICC chief Sonia Gandhi, who has undergone a surgery in a US hospital for an undisclosed ailment.

Former Ministers M O H F Shahjahan, M.Kandasamy and A.Namassivayam were also among those who offered prayers.

The Congress volunteers and functionaries performed special poojas at the sanctum sanctorum of the temple seeking restoration of good health to the AICC leader. Dhanvantri homam was also performed as part of the prayers at the temple.
