Mohanlal, Mammootty have undisclosed assets worth Rs 30 cr

Kerala, Aug 12: Superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal have declared that they have undeclared assets worth Rs 30 crore, said Media reports.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the stars have stashed money abroad so they could escape paying taxes in the country and have also invested their money abroad.

The stars are also said to have bank accounts in foreign nations. Jewellery and various other expensive articles worth Rs 2.8 crore have also been recovered from the stars' houses.

The stars had earlier come out in open and admitted to having assets beyond their sources of income, agreeing to settle their dues. According to reports, the raids came after there was news of the actors selling the satellite rights of their movies.

The official statement from the Income-Tax came for the first time since the raid on Jun 22.
