Arvind Jadhav
New Delhi, Aug 12: The immediate decision to sack Air India Chief Arvind Jadhav came into effect on Friday, Aug 12 following the charges against him over "financial mismanagement". A joint secretary in civil aviation ministry, Rohit Nandan will be replacing Jadhav.

“Jadhav"s services are being terminated," said a top government official. “Nandan is being appointed CMD temporarily." Nandan's appointment will be backed by a management panel. The panel is likely to be headed by aviation secretary Dr SNA Zaidi and will have two independent directors and Dr Zaidi as a joint MD.

Jadhav has been under attack from sections of the employees like pilots and political parties. His tenure so far has experienced three major strikes by pilots and other employees.

The focus of these attacks has been the massive losses and debt burden of the national carrier and delayed payment of staff salaries and allowances.
