New Delhi, Aug 9: The stormy session in Parliament has gained steam over the Commonwealth games scandal that is rocking both houses. After the Opposition cracked the whip on the UPA over the massive irregularities in the scam, the BJP alleged that Sports Minister Ajay Maken had accepted bribe from Jharkhand's Madhu Koda.

BJP leader Yashwanth Sinha also launched a veiled attack against Maken by stating that his bags would swell everytime he visited Delhi. On this Koda replied saying that he knew a lot more on the Opposition BJP since he was them for some time and played a role in their emergence to power. After the ruckus broke out, Sinha stuck to his fiery statement and said that he will not take back his statement and reiterated that he had not spoken against parliamentary procedures.

The BJP had embarked on a planned attempt to target Maken following his controversial remarks on CWG former Organizing Commitee Chief Suresh Kalmadi's appointment. Maken's suo motu statement on the CWG had hit a wrong note with the NDA that launched an attack focused on him in its aftermath. Maken had also rejected the suggestion that Kalmadi's appointment as the OC chairman led to the OC moving out of government control unlike that envisaged earlier.

After the ruckus that erupted later, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 5pm and the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day.
