Actress Sridevi ventures into the world of cricket

Mumbai, Aug 7: Beauty queen Sridevi might have evaded the silver screen since a long time, but, it seems she has been following the footsteps of the stars like SRK, Preity and Shilpa, who have made their names in the world of cricket apart from Bollywood.

According to a source, Boney Kapoor alongwith his star wife, Sridevi have bought the Malayalam club. The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) had earlier motivated Sridevi and hubby Boney Kapoor to buy a team and they have reportedly bought the Bangla Franchise.

The talk is that Sri and Boney might take the services of former captain Sourav Ganguly for the team. "It is not decided yet. Saurav may be a part of the team as a consultant or even as a player. Considering he has been hosting TV shows, he too is a part of the television industry and hence eligible," said the source.
