Uttar Pradesh: Government hospital dumps patients in field

Patients suffering from epilepsy and jaundice were dumped in a field near Jhunsi after the hospital-Swaroop Rani Nehru, threw them out.
The patients have been re-admitted to the hospital after police intervention and an enquiry has been ordered.
The patients were already abandoned by their relatives. While a 30-year-old patient is suffering from epilepsy, 50-year-old Ram Singh was undergoing treatment for jaundice.
"After the matter was brought to our notice, we got the patients re-admitted in the hospital. The hospital employees had dumped the two men on the outskirts of Jhunsi town," said Jai Prakash, Additional Superintendent of Police.
"An inquiry has been initiated into the matter. Strict action will be taken against all those involved in the inhumane act," said SP Singh, Hospital Chief.
The patients were dumped following Dr Sharma's instructions by the ward boys and the ambulance driver. Others excluding the doctor have already been arrested.
A case of negligence has been registered against the doctors and the staff of the hospital.
