D-day for Anna, govt; Lokpal bill in Parliament today

UPA cabinet approved the government version of Lokpal bill which keeps the Prime Minister and other top bureaucrats away from the Lokpal's ambit. However, Anna Hazare and his supporters demanded that the PM along with other top officials should come under the ambit of Lokpal.
Ahead of the crucial Parliamentary session, Hazare urged all MPs and politicians to protest the government version of the bill which allegedly snubbed the interest of the poor people.
Hazare, who vowed to commence his fast-unto-death once again if the government fails to pass the anticipated bill, has been denied to stage his protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
However, sources claim that the Parliament will once again face a logjam over the Lokpal bill debate. Law minister Salman Khursheed had earlier urged the MPs to allow that House to work properly. Khurshid said, "We should stop questioning everything, every institution, we are here to make decisions. Or else I warn you those outside of Parliament will start taking those decisions for us. It is already happening."
