Another AIADMK functionary found dead; foul play suspected

Rameswaram, Aug 3: Yet another AIADMK functionary, 40-year old Sadhveeka Seelan has been found murdered at a village named Kumbaram in Ramanathapuram district. His body was found near a cell phone tower here today.

He was last seen returning home last night and was carrying Rs 65,000 in cash. Police sources said that he was on his way back home after closing his petrol pump at Raghunathapuram for the day when the incident happened. The identity of the perpetrators is yet to be found.

Seelan is the son of late Selliah Servai, who was a state General Council member. The motive behind the murder is not yet known. A police team is probing the case.

This is the second such case where a senior AIADMK member is killed. Earlier a Kundrathur AIADMK functionary, A Madhan was found murdered near his house in Keluthipettai near Kundrathur.
