Zynga launches 'Words With Friends' game on Facebook

The two-player word game 'Words With Friends' allows users to play along with other Facebook friends. Moreover, users can sync the Words With Friends played on Apple iOS devices and Android devices with Facebook version.
Words With Friends will be Zynga's first game to invade from mobile platform to Facebook. The new version of the game will have some social networking features like getting Facebook notifications, ability to post updates on friends' wall while playing etc.
Zynga has not yet announced the exact launch date for the game on Facebook platform, but asked users to 'Like' Words With Friends' Facebook page to get launch notification.
Words With Friends was originally created and run by Newtoy, an independent mobile developer, in Jul 2009. Later in Dec 2010, Zynga acquired the developer.
