Now, distribution of Indian books to become easy

New Delhi, Aug 2: With the publishing industry gradually witnessing a paradigm shift from print to digital and the huge popularity of Indian writers, a leading company has opened its doors to electronic publishing and distribution worldwide to South East Asian publishers.

Konark International, an associate of Konark Publishers India, is offering its services to the ever-growing market with apparently the highest and simplest pay-out rate in the industry.

Konark is now distributing published content to leading online retail outlets such as Apple's iBookstore, Amazon Kindle, Barnes

"We came up with this idea as all Indian content is not readily available to readers outside the country. There are also no dedicated distributors of Indian work worldwide," Konark Publishers Pvt. Ltd. MD K P R Nair told PTI.

"So our aim is to create a paperless e-publishing platform so that much sought-after books are readily available. And with permission from the authors and the publishers, minute changes in grammar and usage can be made so as to make the works more reader-friendly," he says.

As part of its services, Konark International also creates enhanced e-books for more comprehensive publications that are added value by the addition of animation or video.

These new enhanced formats are rapidly on its way to becoming a new avenue for digital publishing.
