Karnataka's new CM, Gowda or Shettar?

New Delhi, Aug 2: Its a state of confusion and proper decision that would curb the fortune of Karnataka following the proper selection of the next Chief Minister. BS Yeddyurappa, who stepped down as the chief minister on Sunday, Aug 2 continues to insist on Sadananda Gowda. Whereas the anti-party raised the name Of Jagadish Shettar as the chief minister candidate. Law and Justice Minister Suresh Kumar is the dark horse. Senior BJP leaders Arun Jaitley and Rajnath Singh will leave for Bangalore on Tuesday evening to select the candidate for the new CM's post in Karnataka. The Karnataka BJP legislative party is likely to meet on Wednesday, Aug 3 even as the party is still striving to reach a consensus on the next chief minister candidate.

Yeddyurappa submitted his resignation to the Governor on Sunday after pressure from the BJP following his indictment in the Karnataka Lokayukta report on illegal mining. However, he remains to be the caretaker Chief Minister till the next chief minister is appointed.
