Uttar Pradesh: Minor burnt over theft charges

The boy who sustained 50 percent burns is battling for his life.
The police is on a lookout for the culprits, while the accused are on a run. The boy who hails from Mughalsarai town was set on fire by his neighbour Pappu and two others on Sunday, Jul 31.
"The victim's family has alleged that Pappu accused the boy of stealing money from his house. After assaulting him, Pappu along with his two aides poured kerosene oil on the boy and set him on fire," said Ram Sagar, police inspector.
"The boy has been referred to a hospital in Varanasi as his condition started deteriorating," said Sagar. Police have held some people in the case.
