Chennai: MK Stalin, DMK leaders arrested again

Chennai, Aug 1: MK Stalin, ex-Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister along with member of his party were arrested for holding a protest march in Chennai.

The protests were staged by the DMK leaders over AIADMK's false charges against the party leaders.

A number of DMK officials and loyalists were arrested in the land grab cases. Veerpansi Arumugam, ex-minister and Anbazhagan, an MLA are already in prison apart from four close aides of MK Alagiri, Union minister.

While the DMK is calling this a political feud, Jayalalithaa, Chief Minister, Tamil Nadu said that the arrests were made purely on the basis of complaints made by people.
