Case against Maneka Gandhi, hearing on Aug 27

Bareilly, Aug 1: Hearing in a three-year-old case of alleged forced distribution of animals against BJP MP Maneka Gandhi would be held by a local court on August 27.

On March 28, 2008 former Union Minister Maneka along with her supporters allegedly forcibly took animals of a trader and distributed them among villagers in Bisalpur area in Pilibhit district, sources said.

An FIR was lodged against Maneka and her supporters Anup Gupta, Manoj Gupta and Naresh Sharma at Bisalpur police station on March 29 in this connection, they said. The case would be heard by the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Ajay Krishna on August 27.
