Nintendo slashes 3DS price from $249 to $169

New York, Jul 29: Now, it's your time to play! Nintendo announced that starting from August 2011 they are slashing the price of Nintendo 3DS gaming console from $249.99 to just $169.99.

"For anyone who was on the fence about buying a Nintendo 3DS, this is a huge motivation to buy now," said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "We are giving shoppers every incentive to pick up a Nintendo 3DS, from an amazing new price to a rapid-fire succession of great games."

Nintendo also announced special downloading games for the users who have already bought the Nintendo 3DS at the original price. These users can download more than 20 free games over the course of the year.

Under the 3DS 'Ambassador program, users can download major tittles like Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong Jr, Balloon Fight, Ice Climber, and The Legend of Zelda for free starting from Sep 1, 2011. Later, users can download games like Yoshi's Island, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare etc.
