Next K'taka CM after Yeddyurappa - Shobha Karandlaje?

Bangalore, Jul 28: With BS Yeddyurappa's resignation as Karnataka chief minister, question over his successor has been emerged in the floor. Six names have been popped up and they are - Ananth Kumar, DV Sadananda Gowda, Shobha Karandlaje, Suresh Kumar, jagadish shettar, K S Eshwarappa.

Who is Shobha Karandlaje?

Shobha Karandlaje is minister of Power of Karnataka. Karandlaje was elected as MLA from Yeswanthpur, Bangalore and assumed office as Minister of Rural Development, Panchayat Raj in 2008.

After citing some political turmoil, Karandlaje resigned from her post but later he re-joined the party. She is a current cabinet minister.

BJP senior leaders Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley will reach the Silicon City on Friday, Jul 29 to elect the new CM of the state, media sources informed. However, Yeddyurappa's consent will be the final words for the party as Yeddyurappa put conditions to table his resignation. Media sources claimed that Yeddyurappa named Gowda as his successor.
