Is Lanka a sex-hub? Actresses in prostitution racket missing

Colombo, Jul 26: More than 20 local Television actresses of Sri Lanka, who are accused of running a prostitution racket, have gone missing. Police on Tuesday, Jul 26 began search for the accused.

Police recently have arrested four other actresses who have also been indicted in the same sex racket around the locations in Colombo which is frequently visited by foreign tourists.

Police believe that many more powerful names may surface in the whole prostitution racket and the investigative agencies also sought public assistance to locate the absconding actresses.

Sri Lanka experiences local sex rackets including foreign sex workers, media reports had claimed earlier. US State department also informed that women and children are heavily being used in sex-trafficking.
