Looking for a job? Try 'Apply with LinkedIn'

New York, Jul 26: The professional social networking site LinkedIn has announced the launch of a new tool called 'Apply with LinkedIn' that allows its users to apply for jobs by submitting their LinkedIn profile directly to company's website.

LinkedIn said that their "goal with 'Apply with LinkedIn' is to help every professional put their best foot forward, anywhere across the web, when they take that leap to apply for a new position, a dream job."

The Apply with LinkedIn allows employers to add a button on their website which jobseekers can click to send their applications. Applicants have an opportunity to personalize the information with a cover letter.

"Once you click on the 'Apply with LinkedIn' button, you"ll get a user experience that"s been optimized for the web. In addition to updating your profile real time, LinkedIn will also show you your professional connections that work at the company to increase your chances of getting hired through a referral," LinkedIn said in their blog.

Moreover, the LinkedIn will show jobseekers profiles of people who can introduce them to someone in the company. Also, LinkedIn will save all 'Apply with LinkedIn' submissions in the 'Saved Jobs' tab, so that the users can have a record of all the jobs they have applied to around the web, throughout their career.

Some of the first companies to debut 'Apply with LinkedIn' button on their company websites include Netflix, TripIt, Photobucket and over a thousand other companies.
