Special Lok-Adalat settles 129 cases

Rourkela (Orissa), July 26: A speical Lok-Adalat at the district headquarters town Sundargarh has settled 129 cases and collected Rs 96,000 as fine from the persons.

The day-long Lok-Adalat was presided on Monday by the district and sessions judge and chairman of the District Legal Aid Prakash Chandra Mishra. The cases settled includes 11 civil, 62 criminal and 40 cases of bank loan along with other litigations.

Senior judges, N K Pradhan, Srutirekha Barik and B P Parida head the cases. Among otehrs, Chief Judicial Magistrate P K Patnaik, Additional District Judge A C Behera participated in the Lok-Adalat.
