BS Yeddyurappa
New Delhi, Jul 26: Embattled Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa was on Monday dubbed as "Cauvery of corruption" by the Congress which questioned his continuance in office in the wake of "overwhelming evidence" against him.

"Money talks and Yeddy walks," rhymed party spokesman Manish Tewari sarcastically at the AICC briefing, wondering that the question is not whether the Chief Minister was "Cauvery of corruption" in view of the "overwhelming evidence" but as to why he is continuing in office.

He alleged that Yeddyurappa was not being shown the door as the spoils from the illegal mining scam had been shared by all in the party in Karnataka and at the national level.

"When the poisonous fruit of illegal mining is shared by all including those in the highest echelons of the BJP...then they will violate all canons of propriety," Tewari said.

In fact, BJP is a "pantomime of puppets" with strings being pulled from several places like Raipur, Bhopal, Gandhinagar (capitals of states being run by the BJP) as also from Nagpur, the RSS headquarters, he said.
