Why are airports on alert over Ramdev's aide Balakrishna?

New Delhi, Jul 25: It seems that Indian government wants to close all possible ways for Baba Ramdev's aide - Balakrishna to leave the country. The investigating agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) feared that Balakrishna, who is accused of violating Indian Passport Act, may try to escape the country to avert any legal action.

Media reports on Monday, Jul 25 surfaced that all airports and border check points have been asked to be alert in case Balakrishna tries to leave the country.

CBI sources said the allegations against Balakrishna are - he (Ramdev's aide) had fudged certain documents and has multiple passports, which is a punishable offence under the Indian Passport Act.

Beside birth certificate row, Balakrishna also landed in fresh controversies when reports claimed that he acquires fake degree certificates from Varanasi University.

Balakrishna had gone missing after the famous police crackdown at Ramlila Maidan. However, he made a dramatic appearance on television claiming he had not disappeared when several criminal charges were raised against him.
