Fake godman arrested on rape charges

Nagpur, Jul 23: A fake godman was arrested for allegedly raping a 32-year-old woman on the pretext of curing some ailment using divine powers, police said today (Jul 23).

The accused--Hazrat Mohammad Wahidulla from Mominpura was exploiting the victim after making obscene videos of hers on his mobile phone, they said.

Wahudulla not only criminally assaulted her time and again but was also blackmailing her with the video clips and was demanding Rs 30,000 from her. Fed up with the blackmailing, the victim lodged a complaint with police and Wahidulla was arrested by police on Friday.
