Govt keeps promise, Lokpal bill ready to be tabled in Parl

New Delhi, Jul 22: It seems that the UPA government finally succeeded to keep its promise despite intense political turmoil and challenges from the opposition parties and critics. Union HRD minister Kapil Sibal on Friday, Jul 22 informed that the final Lokpal draft is ready to be tabled in the monsoon session of the Parliament.

The government had earlier promised to finish the final draft before the monsoon session of the House which is scheduled to be started from Aug 1.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V Narayanasamy said, "The Lokpal bill is ready. It will be placed before the cabinet next week."

Sibal also claimed, "As soon as the Lokpal Bill is passed after going to the parliamentary committee, we will face corruption together and end it."
