Delhi Slut Walk to be held under special tight security

Slut Walk
New Delhi, Jul 21: With chances that the upcoming 'Besharmi morcha' or 'Slut walk' campaign to be held on Jul 31 in New Delhi could be disrupted by anti-social elements, the Delhi police have decided to step up security.

Police got information that for the last two weeks, the organisers have been holding open forums every Sunday at Jantar Mantar along with some volunteers to discuss the issue of security, sources revealed. Cops had deployed over 50 personnel to protect them from any untoward incidents.

Mishika Singh, member of the organising committee of Slut Walk, said, "We only got to know this from the media and for security reasons we sent the letter to Delhi Police for permission. We don't have reason to fear any group."

One of the senior police officials said that they would provide security for each and every protestor and are planning to make elaborate security arrangements for them.
