Google Plus iPhone app launched: Review, Tips & Tricks

California, Jul 20: Finally, the technology giant Apple approved the Google Plus app and launched the Google+ app in Apple iTunes store. With this new app, Google Plus users can connect to the new social networking platform on iconic iPhones.

The description of Google+ app for iPhone reads, "Google+ for mobile makes sharing the right things with the right people a lot simpler. Huddle lets you send super-fast messages to the people you care about most. And no matter where you are, the stream lets you stay in the loop about what your friends are sharing and where they"re checking in."

Soon after the announcement of Google+, search giant Google submitted the iPhone app to Apple for approval. But the iPad maker Apple reportedly delayed the approval and launch. Any how, the controversy ends with the arrival of the new app and now it's time to enjoy Google Plus on your iPhone.

Google+ iPhone app works with any iPhone 3G, 3GS or 4 running iOS 3.1 or newer versions. But this new app does not support the iPad or iPod Touch. Read How to Use Google Plus on Mobile.

A few hours after the launch of G+ iPhone app, a Google official said that they discovered some bugs with the app and later fixed it. Google also asked users, who downloaded this app within the first 1 hour 40 mins, to re-download the new version.

"We discovered an issue with the version of the iPhone Google+ App that was on the App Store. When we launched, the App Store started serving a previous test version of the App which didn't have the stability and fixes that the latest version had. It started serving the correct version a little later. If you downloaded within the first 1 hour 40 mins, you may have downloaded the older test version," said Punit Soni, Google Plus' lead mobile product manager, in his Google+ account.
