Kanpur: Another emergency landing, is travelling in AI safe?

Kanpur, Jul 20: Another Air India flight on Wednesday, Jul 20 made an emergency landing after it skidded off the runway at Kanpur airport in Uttar Pradesh. The flight was headed from Delhi to Kolkata via Kanpur.

Author Chetan Bhagat, who was travelling on the plane wrote about the incident from his Twitter account: "Emergency landing as plane skidded off runway into wet mud. Lucky save. Evacuations on now."

Bhagat also wrote, "The plane wheels are barely visible, dug deep into mud. Everyone's out now. Rattled but safe."

Air India authorities informed that all passengers of the IC 9801 were safe as they were evacuated soon after the flight skidded off the Kanpur airport runway.
