1395 malaria cases detected in AP's Khammam district

Bhadrachalam(AP) Jul 20: Khammam District Collector Siddartha Jain has said that 1,395 malaria cases have been detected in the district till June.

Speaking to reporters at Kothagudem, he said of the 1,34,000 blood samples collected between January and June this year,1395 malaria cases have been detected and persons affected with this disease were being treated.

To provide better medical facilities to affected people, he said 14 Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the district were upgraded as High risk PHCs.

Two help lines were set up for the benefit of the public in distress at Khammam and Bhadrachalam, the Collector said and appealed to the public to approach Government hospitals for treatment.
