Mumbai blasts 2011: Profile of Opera House, Zaveri Bazar

Mumbai, Jul 13: Terror has hit Mumbai yet again with the series of blasts between 6:45 pm and 7pm. The blasts carried out in the busy Mumbai neighbourhod. The terror struck at key points like the Zaveri Bazaar and the Opera House where bustling commuters were impacted in the deadly terror strikes. Zaveri Bazaar:
An area famous for its bustling market place has been hit by terror strikes for the third time. The area also has the famous Mumbaidevi temple that attracts many people. The famous diamond market in India is here as well. A deadly bomb explosion ripped the area in 1993 that led to the killing of 17 people and 57 injured.

Opera House:
Another bustling area with traders and markets galore, this is one of the oldest structure in Mumbai.

There have been confirmations from the Home Ministry that it was terrorist attack possibly from Lashkar e toiba. The choice of locations gives the idea that the perpetrators wanted to instill the maximum damage and injuries.
