NDA,Pramod Mahajan's role under 2G scanner,SC decision today

Late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan has been accused of favouring few private telecom companies on the expense of losses to the exchequers. Mahajan allegedly had allotted additional spectrum beyond 6.2 MHZ and upto 10 MHZ by charging only additional 1 percent revenue share.
Sources informed that Mahajan's decision, which allegedly caused a whopping Rs 565 crores revenue loss, violated the telecom norms which stated along with every GSM license, 4 4MHZ original spectrum used to come free of cost. Extra 1.8 percent spectrum was to be increased per 5 lakh subscribers.
CBI sources said that all telecom ministers under NDA regime soon will face grilling by the investigating agency over their roles in the 2G spectrum scam.
The other pending cases in the apex court are - petition on Sahara Group chief Subrata Roy, lawyer Prashant Bhushan's case against telecom minister Kapil Sibal and four other cases.
