Greater Noida: Woman burnt alive by in-laws over dowry

Greater Noida, Jul 9: A woman on Friday, Jul 8 died after her in-laws allegedly set her on fire over dowry demands, police said.

According to a police complaint filed by the father of the victim, identified as Mamta, she was set on fire on Thursday by her husband, father-in-law and four other relatives over dowry demands.

She was rushed to a hospital by her neighbours where she succumbed to her injuries on Friday.

Mamta had got married two years ago and since then she was being harassed for dowry by her in-laws, police said.

Search is on to nab the accused who are absconding, they said.
