'Cong not against development but against Maya atrocities'

Aligarh, Jul 9: The four-day long padayatra (foot-march) launched by the Congress general secretary, Rahul Gandhi came to its end on Saturday, Jul 9. The Congress "yuvaraj" addressed a "mahapanchayat" in Aligarh on the same day in which almost 5,000 people, especially farmers attended the meeting.

Addressing the people, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Congress is not against development of the country but the party showed its protest against the Mayawati government which attacked the innocent farmers in the state.

Stating about violence in Bhatta Parasaul, Rahul claimed that farmers of the state were ready to hand over their farm-lands to the state government but they demanded acute price at the market price.
