Hillary Clinton to visit India on Jul 19

New Delhi, Jul 9: Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State will visit India for the second round of Indo-US strategic talks.

She is expected to visit the country from Jul 19-20.

Hillary will also visit Chennai apart from her visit to New Delhi accompanied with the top US delegation, constituting officials from different departments.

"The depth of the US-India strategic dialogue demonstrates the US' strong support for India as an important actor on the world stage and is representative of the broad and multifaceted US-India relationship," said Victoria Nuland, department spokesperson, US.

"The partnership between the world's two largest democracies covers issues ranging from counterterrorism and defence cooperation to climate change, high-tech trade, and scientific innovation," she said, "together, the US and India are working to face the most pressing challenges of our time."

According to reports Hillary might also visit the Ford factory in Chennai, during her stay there.
