Chennai teen murder: Postmortem unearths culprit? Rifle used

Murder
Chennai, Jul 8: It's almost seven days that 13-year-old Dilshan was shot dead for allegedly trespassing army premises. After a series of blame-game between Tamil Nadu state government and the army, the deceased's postmortem report is believed to put an end to all debates and discussions soon.

The postmortem report claimed that rifle was used in Dilshan's murder. The investigating agency CB-CID (Crime Branch CID) also suspected that an illegal weapon might have been used in the brutal killing.

Without hiding her rage against the army personnel, state chief minister Jayalalithaa earlier had claimed, "It is quite clear that someone from within the army only shot dead the boy and killed him (Dilshan)."

However, denying all blames, army spokesperson had so far stated, "It is wrong to say that the army is involved. There is an individual under suspicion. We are concerned. We deeply regret the death of the boy and will cooperate fully in this investigation."

However, CB-CID sources claimed that they will bring out the real culprit very soon as the postmortem report on Friday, Jul 8 have facilitated the investigating officials with concrete leads.
