New Delhi, Jul 4: It seems that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt can heave a sigh of relief after the Supreme Court on Monday, Jul 4 ruled in favour of the actor on the cancellation of his bail in the 1993 Mumbai blast case.

A film producer, Shakeel Noorani, who reportedly have been engaged in some financial spat with the actor, had filed an FIR requesting dismissal of Sanjay Dutt's bail which was granted to him (Dutt) in 2007.

Noorani earlier had claimed, "My life is being threatened by the underworld (allegedly on the behest of Dutt) and I have already filed an FIR in the case."

However, criticising Noorani's move, the apex court pronounced, "You (Noorani) cannot use this court to solve your financial disputes in a criminal case," and also added, "How is the producer involved in this (Mumbai blast) criminal case? You file an FIR. We are dismissing your petition."

Sanjay Dutt was acquitted in the Mumbai blast case by a TADA court but had held in the Arms Act for possessing ammunition and weapon at his residence. Dutt has already spent six year in prison over his role in the 1993 blast.
